With a week left until the big T-Day, one redditor — going by the name @alanpep — and it pretty much puts all other meals to shame.
Posted in Reddit’s Food community, the spreadsheet in question received a whole mess of votes over the past 24 hours and upon closer look, it’s pretty obvious why.
As you can see, the prep schedule is broken down by the hour and is color-coded by cooking method — pink for oven, orange for stovetop, gray for crockpot, green for various actions, and yellow for microwave. It’s worth noting, there is really no yellow anywhere in the doc.
It’s also worth noting that Alan’s mother is a logistics analyst which makes complete sense when looking at how she breaks the dinner plans down.
And what’s a dinner without a guest list? Cheryl (that’s his mom’s name) even has that covered.
Here, she keeps in line the guests attending, who is bringing what, keeps track of cookware, tableware, etc.
There’s no guess work needed in Alan’s family as Cheryl has everything covered. Everything from the time needed to iron the table linens to when the applesauce will be made is all stated in this lovely work of organizational art.
And while this is pretty detailed and structurally sound, Cheryl’s Christmas spreadsheet is even more extensive. that “It contains tabs for Christmas cards, which can generate address labels and holds records of previous cards sent, in order to avoid sending a duplicate. It also has a tab of gifts, recipients, gifts purchased and to buy, gift ideas, and also keeps record of previous years’ gifts purchased.”
If Cheryl needed a side job, she could probably make some serious Holiday moolah off such services!
